Wellington County, Ont. – The County of Wellington’s Economic Development Division has once  again launched their digital Winter Adventures Map, an interactive tool used to explore the  seasonal activities and winter experiences available throughout the region.

From outdoor excursions to seasonal tastes, the interactive map highlights different ways to  experience Wellington, including:  

• Indoor and outdoor skating locations 

• Winter trails for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling  

• Horse-drawn sleigh rides 

• Local community theatres 

• Alpaca snow yoga and farm visits 

• Campfire experiences and fireside tastings 

• Cozy spots to enjoy hot chocolate 

“The Winter Experiences Map is designed to make it easy for residents and visitors alike to  discover the unique experiences Wellington County has to offer,” commented Councillor Jeff  Duncan, Chair of the County’s Economic Development Committee. “Whether you’re looking for a  fun family outing, an adventure with friends, or a relaxing rural retreat, you’ll find something  special here.” 

The County has worked closely with local businesses, organizations, and community members to  develop this resource. The map not only highlights activities but also promotes local businesses  and encourages visitors to explore the charm of Wellington County’s rural communities. 

Warden Chris White commended the collaborative effort behind the initiative, stating, “Our  Winter Adventures Map is a celebration of the diversity and vibrancy of Wellington County. It’s a great to capture the essence of our rural communities and show that Wellington County is a  destination worth exploring year-round.”
