Community Invited To Share Ideas About The Elora Farmers Market & Win $100

Released For Publication - March 6, 2023

While the winter winds may be blowing, the Elora Farmers Market (EFM) is getting ready for another season of fresh produce, locally raised meat and a wide range of other food and beverage choices from farmers, artisans, bakers and makers.

“Our vendors are thinking past the winter cold and are focused on getting their farms and kitchens ready for our opening in May,” commented Karen Mansfield owner of Majestic Waterloo Buffalo and a member of the EFM board. “We can’t wait to invite the community back for another year of fresh, local food and community.”

To help prepare for the new season, the EFM is inviting everyone in Centre Wellington to fill in a simple online survey to share what they like about the market and what could make it even better.

Everyone who completes the survey can be entered to win a $100 prize to be spent with any farmer, artisan, baker or maker vendor at the market. The survey can be found at EloraFarmersMarket.ca

“We want to hear from everyone in our community about their thoughts about the farmers market,” commented Rob Mackay owner of Mackay Farms and another member of the EFM board. “If people are regular visitors or have never been to the market, we want to understand the role the market plays in our community. We want to do everything we can to make the market a regular Saturday morning destination for all families in Centre Wellington.”

The survey is open now until March 20/23

Community members can find the survey and enter to win the $100 prize at EloraFarmersMarket.ca

The market will start back at Bissel Park in Elora on May 6/23.
