JayWalking, Guelph, and Scandal
Scheduled Scandalous Guelph tours will take place on Saturday evenings at 7:00 pm

 For Immediate Release – May 16, 2023

In addition to Gwelf Early Days and The Unfortunate Man storytelling walking tours, JayWalking Guelph is adding a third tour, this season, Scandalous Guelph.

Years ago Jay hosted a tour called Scandal On The Speed River, but over the years Jay discovered additional scandalous tales that he just can’t contain any longer.

“Guelph is known as a town famous for tales of bootlegging. Guelph had it’s share or illegal liquor production, Guelph bootleggers tossed into the Welland Canal with cement boots, revenge killings, and jilted lovers tossing themselves out of hotel windows. In addition to those stories there are some great stories of attempted murder, infidelity, flaming Courtesans (as in literally on fire), and other amazing true tales.” says Jay.

As with all Jaywalking tours, actor, Jay Wilson recites newspaper accounts exactly as written.

“My plan was to tell these tales where they happened, but that proved to be impossible as we’d have to walk all over town, so I am returning to Royal City Park, for two reasons, it is a pleasant location along the banks of the Speed River, and there is access to ice cream nearby.”

Scheduled Scandalous Guelph tours will take place on Saturday evenings at 7:00 pm
