Develop Heartfelt Connections with Earth

Ecotherapy: Healing Our Relationship With Earth - An evening series Thurs Mar 23rd at John McCrae Public School, Guelph

Join an evening series on Thursday March 23rd that invites us to explore our relationships with the earth. Starting with ecotherapy, to bring healing into our lives and ways we relate with earth, then as professionals who are seeking meaningful earth-centered contributions to our community, and in conclusion with the inspiration and love we share with animals.

“Ecotherapy is an exciting response to the challenges of our time,”
says Melissa Clews-Hunt, an Ecotherapist who offers work with individuals, couples and families in downtown Guelph. “It rekindles our love for the earth, and invites us to not only heal ourselves, but our relationships with nature as well.”

Gary Diggins, Expressive Arts Therapist at Silence as well as Angela Herzog, Body-Oriented Psychotherapist at Embodied Healing, will also be sharing their talents and offerings for healing with nature.

Melissa Clews-Hunt has also started up a network for professionals from a range of disciplines who want to integrate nature more in their work. From psychotherapy, to education, to health, to nonprofits and beyond, “together we cross-pollinate ideas and the how-tos for bringing nature connection to our community.” Jennifer Hillier, Naturopathic Doctor at Spring Chicken Family Health, will be sharing an earth-based practice from her field as part of this network on Thursday.

Julianna van Adrichem, Student of Zoology, University of Guelph, will also be there Thursday to engage awe-inspiring discussions about creatures and to share pride in work already being done to protect them.

The event will take place at John McCrae Public School.
