At its recent 10th birthday event, Transition Guelph introduced the first annual “Resilience Awards”. We are extremely pleased to recognize The City of Guelph and eMerge Guelph’s remarkable contribution to local resilience for Guelph’s commitment to 100% Renewable energy by 2050.
“Transition Guelph is about strengthening local resilience. With energy being one of the core elements of local resilience,” said Steve Tedesco, Board Chair, “we simply had to highlight the far-sighted direction Guelph has taken and the possibilities this creates for our community’s future.”
Alex Savatti, Board Vice-chair, and co-creator of the award concept chimed in: “Guelph is extremely fortunate to have so many individuals and organizations strengthening local resilience. We plan to make these awards an annual fall event to celebrate significant contributions.”
