The Guelph Concert Band, under the direction of conductor and artistic director Chris Cigolea, takes you on A Sentimental Journey through the decades, featuring classics of the swing, big band, jazz, blues, and rock eras. Enjoy guest performances from singer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Craig, vocalist Michael Austin Harris and young local artists. From New Orleans Jazz to the anthems of Rock, Gershwin to Sinatra to Queen to Clapton, bring the whole family to enjoy our salute to American popular music.

About our guest stars:
Andrew Craig has Musical Directed high-profile tributes to Quincy Jones and Oscar Peterson, as well as York University’s 50th Anniversary Concert. He’s arranged music for 50,000 children singing for Nelson Mandela. He’s shared the stage and the studio with some of the biggest names in music: from Wynton Marsalis to Herbie Hancock, Molly Johnson to Measha Bruggergosman, to name just a few.
Michael Austin Harris grew up here in Guelph, listening to and being influenced by Mahalia Jackson, Nat King Cole, Amy Grant, Chicago and Phil Collins. Michael is an eclectic songwriter, having written in CCM, Gospel, Country, Folk, R&B, Reggae and Hip-Hop genres. Whether he is singing, directing a choir, writing a song of worship, a song of love or some aspect of life, Michael’s desire is to write music that inspires listeners, friends and fans.
