Celebrating HOPE House

On September 29th between 3pm and 6pm, HOPE House invites you to join them celebrate their 7th year with a community birthday party!

For Immediate Release - September 17, 2019

On September 29th between 3pm and 6pm, HOPE House invites you to join them celebrate their 7th year with a community birthday party! This fun, family event will be free of charge and is for all members of the Guelph community. Come out and enjoy food, face painting, family activities and music from the famous Guelph children’s band the Funky Mamas.

The idea of creating an opportunity for families of all income levels to collectively enjoy a concert and family activities for free came out of a conversation between Andrew Somerville and Wendy Maynard during a popular local course called On The Presence

“Wendy and I didn’t let the idea die when the course was over, we decided to make it happen, and enlisted the assistance of our respective communities.”

Andrew is part of “Legacy Men’s Group”, which is a group of men dedicated to community, family and healthy relationships.

The goals of this event are to bring as many new people as possible through the doors of HOPE House, and for everyone to have fun as HOPE House Celebrates 7 years of operation.
