Festival Trio at 7:30 pm
If you already have tickets for the Festival Trio this Friday at 7:30 pm, I think you will have a wonderful musical experience

Violinist Mark Fewer (artist-in-residence at McGill, soloist, recording artist, and former concertmaster of the Vancouver Symphony) is making his first Musicfest appearance). Along with cellist Paul Pulford (Festival Trio regular and Musicfest favourite; he’s moving to New Brunswick this summer, but I hope he’ll be back), we have been rehearsing Beethoven’s Archduke Trio this week, and enjoying the utter brilliance of the writing, the clarity, excitement, and true genius—the trio still feels “modern” today. I truly hope you will be able to let us share this music with you.

Tickets are still available.

In addition, Mark and I are performing Beethoven’s incredible Kreutzer violin sonata, another true masterpiece. Paul and I are performing the beautiful cello sonata in D major, which is another work of genius. It is a great program to end Musicfest’s string concerts (the final two programs all piano concerts).

You can reserve tickets by sending me an email (and take advantage of the advance ticket discounts—it’s more at the door: $40 adult, $35 senior, $20 student, $10 for accompanied children).

NOTE: Paul & I are performing a Cello & Piano Recital in Hamilton on Sunday at 4 pm. It’s part of the St. Joe’s Artsfest.
