For Immediate Release - March 14, 2019
Today MP Lloyd Longfield, Member of Parliament for Guelph met with Mayor Cam Guthrie to discuss the concerning situation on Provincial infrastructure funding delays.
The current Bilateral Agreement for investments requires the Province of Ontario to intake projects for funding. While the Province opened rural intake this week Lloyd is very concerned that the delay in opening the transit, green, community culture and recreation streams will not allow the City of Guelph to proceed with projects that are vital to the economic development of our City.
Attached is the letter that MP Longfield personally delivered to Mayor Guthrie this morning, and has sent to all City Councillors.
