Beertown Guelph
The Charcoal Group is getting ready to open its newest Beertown Public House location in Guelph in March and has two more openings on the menu this year as it continues to expand the popular brand’s footprint

For Immediate Release - February 13, 2020

Beertown Guelph will celebrate its official opening in a new building at 433 Stone Rd. West on March 3, serving up an extensive craft beer and beverage list, as well as a diverse menu designed to satisfy diners of all tastes.

“We’re really excited to open our doors in Guelph,” says Charcoal Group partner Jody Palubuski. “Guelph is close to our home base in Wellington County, so they may be familiar with the Charcoal Group and we believe there is understanding or a trust in the experience we’ll provide them. We have been working on a location for Guelph for close to fifteen years as we have been so fortunate to have so many Guelph residents as local guests at our Charcoal restaurants throughout the years.”

The sixth restaurant in Charcoal’s growing Beertown banner, Beertown Guelph is located in a 270-seat custom-built and designed, 5,000-square-foot building.

The new restaurant has a number of cool features to help keep guests entertained, including:

An outdoor bocce ball court on the patio

41 draught lines featuring several beers from local Guelph brewers

Exclusive kegged cocktail from Willibald Distillers

Full plant-based and gluten friendly menus

“We try to make each Beertown location a little different from the others and individualize them,” Palubuski says. “I feel like what we’re doing in Guelph is the next generation of Beertown. We’ve learned a lot over the years through our previous restaurants and are applying those learnings to what we’ve built here.”

Charcoal will add two more Beertown locations this summer as it strengthens its position as the Ontario leader on the craft beer dining scene. A 199-seat Beertown is scheduled to open in downtown Toronto at 40 University Ave. in June, while 271-seat Beertown Barrie is expected to open its doors at 12 Fairview Rd. in August.
