Get ready, Guelph! The city is about to experience a one-of-a-kind community celebration with the first-ever Great Downtown Guelph Garage Sale, happening Saturday, July 12th, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wyndham Street North—rain or shine!

This brand-new event will see our community turning a stretch of downtown into a buzzing garage sale haven. With Wyndham Street North closed to traffic for the day, dozens of community members will be setting up shop from the trunks of their cars, vans, or trucks, creating a unique and walkable marketplace packed with pre-loved items, hidden gems, and fantastic finds.

But the fun doesn’t stop there.

Downtown Guelph businesses are also joining in the celebration, spilling out onto sidewalks with special sales, pop-up displays, and exciting activities. Shoppers can explore their favourite local shops in a whole new way—right out on the street—making this event as much about supporting small businesses as it is about community connection and sustainable shopping. 

And in the spirit of giving back, attendees will also have the opportunity to donate gently used items on the day of the event! The Canadian Kidney Trust will have a donation truck onsite, and BioPed Foot Care will be taking donations of shoes at their store at 102 Wyndham St N in support of Soles4Souls Canada. The Children's Foundation of Guelph & Wellington will have a booth onsite to sell bags and raise awareness of their Keep Kids Fed At Home program.
