Guelph Family Martial Arts is owned and operated by Nathan and Sophie Skoufis, who are both world champions and members of Team Canada.
In May, the studio celebrated its' 6th Anniversary in Guelph.
The Skoufis Family has been involved in martial arts for over 20 years. They founded the studio knowing the benefits martial arts had in their own life and wanting to share those benefits with the community.
Martial arts installs life skills including confidence, focus and discipline and facilitates personal growth and development among much more.
Guelph Family Martial Arts has become one of the city’s landmarks and is the most prestigious studio in the area. Students travel from all over to train at GFMA. That it is such a rewarding opportunity to be involved with so many amazing students and families and really is a responsibility we are fortunate to have.
Nathan Skoufis said "It really is a dream come true to be able to win an award like this. When we started the studio this was something we could have never imagined would be possible. We have competed at several world championships and represent the community. To be able to share our experience with students of all ages is something we value highly and are so fortunate to be able to do. Having a positive impact on a student and helping to guide them is the absolutely most rewarding avenue I have ever been involved with."
We thank the community for everything and we hope everyone is doing well through this unprecedented time we find ourselves in currently. Together we have made great progress and there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you from all of us at GFMA!
